New to Sézane!

I've loved Sézane's look for ages but never got round to ordering anything, now really tempted to go for it (no particular reason, just strong New Clothes Lust), but wondering if there's anything I need to know? Do they tend to size small or large in reality compared to the information they give on the site? Do they do new customer discounts?

I'm really undecided about what to get but thinking probably a lower cost / easier to fit piece to start off with, as ideally I'd like to not have to deal with returning. So something with more flexibility of fit. I'm very, very open to suggestions if anyone has a Sézane piece they love! Equally, I don't want to get an accessory as I'm hoping to zero in on my correct Sézane size so I can also buy safely from Vinted.

I live above a pub and the bartenders often receive packages for me and landlord might have a soft spot for me. All the French handwritten writings with translation ‘I love you’ ‘my love’ ‘I miss you’ ‘ Forever’ in beautiful fountain pen calligraphy. He said ‘you’ve got an admirer’ I said ‘I do! Sezanne!’

(not that it’s any of his business, come to think of it)

I thought the clothes were nice, but not a patch on Guess, which is my current favorite store- I want to buy everything in there every time I go in.

@Londondreams1 🤣 the receptionist at my work might be thinking similar thoughts, feel embarrassed when I receive those packages!

Thanks @Sooverthemill ,I just bought the grey wool Will from Vinted, out of season but probably cheaper because of that and xxs ones don’t come up so often Fingers crossed it fits.

Just a note to say archives are this Sunday apparently!

@Primprom if you don't mind may I ask you a question, is the sale on Sunday going to be a more extensive version of current Archives? I'm also new to Sezane, but interested in purchasing. I check Sezane's Archives on website from time to time and they seem to be having new items added there each day, so I was wondering if the sale on Sunday is going to be something different.

I think the archives on Sunday will just add on to those items that are already appearing now. I never get on well in the archives sale as everything gets snapped up so fast. If you like something just now in the archives I would just go for it as might be gone by Sunday. Here's a screenshot with more of an explanation from the UK Sezane Facebook group

Hi @toucaninjapan i think it'll be last summer season at cheaper prices, but not sure which ones. Some people search for those in advance and add them to their wishlist so they can efficiently snap them up! I've never managed to be so methodical with shopping though!

I am a recent sezane enthusiast. I ordered a couple of things - jeans, a top, and some sandals and every single thing was beautiful.

it’s funny because on the website I found the photos and description to be lacking in detail but I’ve realised it’s just them - even though it’s a higher price point I don’t regret any purchase and wear each thing all the time.

Did anybody buy anything on the sale? I got a dress and a jumper, a bit worried whether it all will fit. Fingers crossed!

I did! Very pleased - silk shirt for £45 (black) - a classic. Two other silk blouses. Pair of gold sandals but they may go back as too high, will see how comfortable I find them. A floral print jacket.

@Zengarden001 congratulations! Everything sounds amazing, especially floral print jacket! I didn't have a look at jacket, and now I wish I did.

The summer archives are mainly last years stuff and a few bits from previous years, some stuff has been there for a long time! Delivery is often a bit slower. I love Sézane and but far too much but I know what works for me and I wear all of it all the time-in fact today I’m in Sézane shirt and trousers
i got the Zarri dress from last year. I have the black and wore it loads and have tried to get a white dress similar this year and now I have the real thing!

@Sooverthemill do you own Gustavo trousers? I'm looking at these ones now, they are linen/wool blend if I'm not mistaken (for some reason their composition is written in French). They are 50% off and I'm tempted, but worry whether Sezane trousers fit big or small.

@toucaninjapan I don’t have ‘trousers’ only jumpsuits and jeans but the feedback on Gustavo seems to be they come up small.

@toucaninjapan sign up to Sézane addicts UK, the USA one and the French addict Facebook groups. They give photos and reviews of all the Sézane stuff. It really helps to see real people in the clothes!

i am size 10/12, i ordered 2 jumpers from sezane , the gaspard and the betty both in XL, i am still waiting for them to be delivered but now reading your comments i think they will be too big, especially i tend to get overwhelmed easily in oversized clothing. what about the leontine which size would you recommend?

@pomponetzayn I've heard Sezane recently revised their Gaspard sizes and made them smaller. I took XXS for my 36 and XS or even S might have been better. Maybe you won't find your Gaspard too oversized on you once it arrives

@pomponetzayn Sorry, but definitely far too big. I am a size 10 - so similar to you and buy a xs in the Gaspards and usually a small in other knitwear.

@pomponetzayn depends on how you want them to fit my leontines are all S for my 8-10 ( I have 4)

Hi @pomponetzayn I'm a 8/10 and small gaspard are pretty large on me, but I like them oversized. If I wanted a regular cardigan fit, I'd go for xxs. So I suspect the xl on a 10 could be gigantic!
