It’s a Ghanaian wedding in the Caribbean I cannot wait! No traditional dress code just bright colours. It’s July so it’s going to be boiling. Half the guests are coming from the states so it will be a rehearsal dinner, cocktail hour etc. is this too casual? I am trying to lose weight and it’s going ok.

Gorgeous dress.
Dont put a v necklace with a v top it will lose its impact. Either go normal round shape or have a long drop from a round chain.

RestingPandaFace · 27/05/2022 14:51

its a lovely dress, my only worry would be if you get flushed with the heat as I think it’ll look bad against pink skin.

dammit88 · 27/05/2022 14:53

Absolutely perfect, you look lovely

Plump82 · 27/05/2022 14:55

Stunning! Those shoes go perfectly and a matching bag. For jewellery I'd get big statement earrings in gold and maybe some sort of jewel, something green so really pop.
Would you mind sharing where it's from? Is it also Mango?

EachandEveryone · 27/05/2022 14:59

Yes its Mango they have some lovely things in. Really vibrant colours.

Don’t wear spanx. Just don’t do it. You will be absolutely miserable. There is nothing wrong with a natural body in a dress. Wearing a bra can increase comfort in the heat because it helps prevent boob sweat, but beyond that, just don’t.

I just love the fact that its cotton although im dreading the Spanx😀

Good lord! Do not even consider wearing Spanx!

In the same shape and size as you OP. This dress is fab. You need gold sandals as @TammyOne says and I'd get some 'wow' dangly earrings in the same orange/flame/tomato colour. And maybe a wrist cuff thingy.

Definitely, good advise. You look fab OP.

**advice! 🙄🤣

It looks amazing. I love the colour.

As others have said, embrace your curls (work with thr humidity not against!), but I'd get some vibrant hair clips and pin off my face at the front. I'd probably get some in a royal blue or hot pink to clash (in a good way!) with the dress and match them with a clutch bag of the same colour.

Gold sandals and a chunky (maybe beaten to add texture?) gold cuff. I wouldn't personally wear a necklace and keep earrings gold and simple so as not to over power with the hair clips.

Palavah · 27/05/2022 15:46

I wouldn't get a statement necklace - I'd get massive statement earrings in turquoise which will set off the orange amazingly.

Then also bracelets/bangle in turquoise, orange, gold, pink, green

Carlycat · 27/05/2022 16:22

Definitely. You look gorgeous! That colour is perfect. Do you need a mate to tag along?!

EachandEveryone · 27/05/2022 17:28

My friend is coming the four children are well able to look after themselves now. She has had a rough split we will definitely be ready to mingle 😀

Ooo lovely dress! You look great. Smile Agree it can be jazzed up easily with shoes/bag.
I've never considered Mango before so I'm off to have a look. Thanks Op and have a great time!

Get a good deodorant. I can only imagine the carnage my pits would bring to that colour dress.
