Boys/mens casual trouser- Help

My teenager lives in joggers and refuses to wear anything but joggers!! We are going away to a extremely hot country where he will need thin trousers. Can anyone recommend any thin material jogger style trousers for a 5ft 6 25inch waist teenage boy?

Would he wear lounge pants, do they need to be cuffed at the bottom

Have upu looked at cuffed cargo pants which are cotton and cooler. I would also pack a pair of loose jersey shorts.
