Dewy foundation for very dry skin

Can anyone recommend a good dewy foundation? I've been searching but can't decide which is best to get and don't want to waste money. My skin type is dry, I'm finding my current one looks good to begin with but then starts looking awful after a couple of hours if that.
thank you

No7 Hydraluminous. I recommend it every time but it really is amazing for dry skin.

Relove by revolution serum foundation. I'm a makeup junkie (immediately added the hydroluminous to my list to try) and have bought loads of foundations aimed at dry skin, but always come back to this!

It's super cheap and when applied with a damp sponge it doesn't stick to my dry patches or flake, and still looks good after a full day's wear. Fair warning, the shade range is abysmal!

I like Clinique Even Better Glow but it can still show dryness around my nose, so when this happens I start using my Make Up Eraser cloths which have a exfoliating side. This tends to do the job.

I have really dry skin and I've been using fenty for a while and really rate it.

I came across this one and some people really rate it but there were a few reviews saying it oxidised and went darker/orange when it had been on for a while. How do you find it for that?

Ester Lauder futurist or revolution conceal and hydrate

Thank you! I see what you mean about the shade range, I might have to give it a go as it not too expensive. Can always get two and mix the shades together

Not foundation but I have just bought a NARS tinted moisturiser and have v dry skin and it's lovely and dewy . Nice and light for summer too

I have just recently been trying Body Shop Fresh Nude foundation. It is quite lightweight, but you can get a medium coverage. I blends really well and gives a dewy finish, which I imagine would be good on dry skin.

Oh, I forgot Bareminerals moisturizing foundation stick. It's lovely.

No 7 hydraluminous, just got it at the weekend and it's amazing.

showmethegin · 23/05/2022 19:14

Fenty hydrating foundation is epic

Another one who can't rate this highly enough. Sorted out my dry skin

daybyday247 · 23/05/2022 20:40

Thank you all, lots to try out now. I've just ordered some of the revolution ones, might pick up one of the luminous no7s when I'm in boots next. Hopefully they work for
My skin, if not I'll try one the higher end ones next.

I'm sure theyve changed the hydraluminous. It is worth a go but I found (using the palest shade) that it oxidized and also gave a slightly odd sheen rather than a glow on me.

I've been enjoying NYX born to glow and some of the korean BB creams such as Missha, the finish is brilliant on my dry skin.

What really saved me was switching to using a damp beauty blender, using a moisturising cream cleanser (liz earle) and the Eucerin 5% urea face cream under makeup.
