What do you think of this top?!

www.esprit.co.uk/p/printed-long-sleeve-top-in-organic-cotton-121CC1K325.html

I ordered it in both colourways, and when I first tried it on I liked both and planned to keep them. Now, a couple of weeks later, I’m not sure! 🤷‍♀️

I've not worn it or removed the tags, so could return it. I’d be grateful for opinions! Does it look stylish as per the current ditsy floral trend?! Or frumpy?! 😂 (I’d wear it with skinny jeans, btw.)

The blue & white one looks nice with jeans. It's a fresh summery look. I'd probably roll the sleeves to 3/4 length. I'm not keen on the black one.

nearlyspringyay · 23/05/2022 12:11

I prefer the second one, although not totally sold on either, sorry.

MintyMoocow · 23/05/2022 12:20

They’re fine, everyday practical clothing, not too expensive.
what’s not to like?

MrsPelligrinoPetrichor · 23/05/2022 12:23

They're almost neutral, wouldn't even register if someone was wearing them. Just normal every day wear. Stop overthinking and wear them 😂

TeeBee · 23/05/2022 12:23

Both nice enough. Not offensive.

RuthW · 23/05/2022 12:33

It's just a normal winter t shirt. Nothing to dislike.

koalaha · 24/05/2022 13:37

Thanks for the replies!

I'm not keen tbh. Looks a bit meh to me x

rookiemere · 24/05/2022 13:45

Depends on your size, would be nice if you're petite like the model, not so much if you're a size 14 like me.

viques · 24/05/2022 13:46

Calling it organic cotton is a marketing ploy, makes it sound ecologically friendly. Unfortunately to produce enough cotton for a t shirt takes two and a half thousand litres of water. Cotton is not a ecologically sound fabric.

viques · 24/05/2022 13:47

Just saying btw, nothing against the T-shirt, it was the word organic that irked me.

Comvit · 24/05/2022 13:52

The black is okay but I'd definitely have 3/4 sleeves.

I absolutely hate the white/blue one. It looks like a pair of old curtains. Sorry, OP.

Assistanttotheregionalmanager · 24/05/2022 13:54

Not a fan of either

CorneliaStreet42 · 24/05/2022 13:55

I'm not particularly fashionable or concerned about being fashionable either TBH. It just looks like a top you would throw on with a pair of jeans and shoes to do the school run/supermarket/day out in with minimal effort.

But I like those types of clothes. Minimal effort.

Scorched · 24/05/2022 13:58

I’m thinking of buying one myself now, they look very nice everyday tops.

Iamthewombat · 24/05/2022 19:48

Both tops say, “I have given up on life”. Send them back!

prettyteapotsplease · 24/05/2022 19:51

They both look lovely, fresh and summery.

BlessedByTheShitFairy · 25/05/2022 22:06

when a flattering top with a lovely neckline in a modest print means i have 'given up on life', get back to me!

Some of these comments are truly bizarre and sound purposely offensive, a bit high school bitch, you know?. If I didn't like it i'd say nah, not for me, but no issue.

DontPickTheFlowers · 25/05/2022 22:34

Agree with whoever said blue and white is ok on a small person but not for a size 14.

Personally I think it’s a bit dated, like something I would have worn in the 90s - but then it’s coming back now isn’t it?

Classica · 25/05/2022 22:42

I like the black one with its William Morris vibes. The blue one wouldn't be for me.

TheOGCCL · 26/05/2022 08:43

They are not to my taste and not sure they are particularly fashionable, in answer to your specific question. The print is too small and fussy imo.

They are however perfectly serviceable tops. I’d say it’s more whether you’d feel good wearing them and whether they reflect your personal style.

balalake · 26/05/2022 11:16

Probably only for those who are petite, in my opinion.

DreamloverTealover · 26/05/2022 13:21

I love the first one and would wear both but I'm a sucker for floral prints and don't mind if something looks "dated" as I love a vintage style thrown in here and there!

koalaha · 26/05/2022 14:03

Thank you for the replies - interesting there’s such a mix of views!

I know what you mean about a bit dated, but as a pp says, that look seems to be coming back - not sure whether it now looks contemporary or whether it just looks dated!

As regards size, I’m size 8/XS but tallish - 5’7”.
