Social media fear

Hi so im trying to get more active on social media accounts I just feel awkward uploading pics of me family pics, my friends are so opposite to me they update there accounts every time they do something even snap chat I just feel awkward why??

Don't post anything if you feel uncomfortable. I use social media as a source of information. I have joined several local Facebook groups to find out about local events, news, travel updates etc, but post very little online, and very rarely pictures of me.

I post no pictures, never have. Why are you doing this if you feel uncomfortable?

I'm not sure why you feel obliged to post things if you don't like doing it?

No I just mean, I see my friends and they take pics selfies and put them up I just feel awkward even nights out in the pub I just don't, I wish I didn't care and posted all the time

Why do you want to be more ‘active’? Who for? What do you want to achieve?

Why? I never post photos. Come to think of it, why on Earth would someone want to publicise their life on line in exchange for likes?! It’s just bizarre.

Personally I think you've got the right idea. This obsession with taking and posting selfies is unnecessary. Keep doing it your way!

I’ve never put pictures of myself or my kids on SM, you have no control of them once you do.

I think you've misunderstood social media. People chare photos with friends just like they used to do with printed photos. I don't understand people who take photos and then don't share them and I've even decided that with some people I will no longer allow them to take a photo of me if they do not share the photo afterwards.
