Pashmina/Shawl/Stole/Wrap

I'd like to get a myself a nice pashmina (or whatever you call them) for summer evenings outside, around my shoulders in chilly restaurants, and/or weddings, but am struggling to find anything I like online.

I want an opaque, slightly weighty, soft fine knit, silky/soft feeling one, something that will actually give a little warmth while looking pretty and elegant. Not a very fine translucent one, and also not one the looks like a winter scarf texture. Ideally in a pretty taupe or slightly purple toned grey, but I will consider other neutrals.

Anyone got any recommendations for brands I can look at?

Can't help but I'm looking for the same thing so watching with interest.

Etsy have lots of pashminas that might fit the bill

SummaLuvin · 22/05/2022 20:49

I'm quite dubious of Etsy these days. It has been largely taken over by low quality drop shippers now.

Ordered and received a lovely one last week from:
www.etsy.com/uk/shop/EssentialDesignsLDN?ref=l2-about-shopname&section_id=33125089
They also do lovely cotton kimonos/dressing gowns. Would recommend - am not anything to do with the company in case you think I am!

thanks @mscynical I'm being super fussy and can't see any colours that appeal, they do look lovely though.

Anyone else have recommendations?

Might this have anything of interest? www.passionateaboutpashmina.com

I've had several from this company over the years
www.mypashmina.co.uk

Huge range and colours (I bought a swatch book years ago and use that) Very good quality and customer service. I have some silk/cashmere ones and the very fine 'ring' ones.

I contacted My Pashmina as I had a query on the colour swatch book, waited a week, chased, waited, and nothing. Really quite disappointed. So coming back here for more ideas and suggestions. I will be visiting London in a few weeks time so could pop into a proper shop there if someone knows of one.

Did you end up finding one you liked?

I'm on the lookout now as we're reaching late summer.

Cocowai, I have met the lady who owns the business. Genuine Pashminas and ethically run company.
