I saw this article on Friday and raced to my local Aldi to get a bottle. I scoured the shelves and couldn’t see a bottle but then saw one lone bottle, out of its box with a shelf label sellotaped to its box, and a small amount of the perfume obviously used.
DH couldn’t believe I was going to buy it ‘used’ but, for £5.99, when it’s sold out online, is on eBay for double the price and not likely to be in stock anytime soon I happily shoved it back in its box and prayed they wouldn’t refuse to sell it to me at the checkout. Thankfully the poor cashier was too harassed by the ginormous queue that was forming behind us and lack of colleagues to open another till to notice.
I’d agree with the article that when you first spray it something is off and it really doesn’t smell like the real deal. Happily, once it settles down, it smells spot on. I’d put off buying the genuine scent for months because I couldn’t justify spending so much on myself with all the recent price rises. I’m really glad I did now as this bottle is huge and will last for ages.
