Selling new clothes online

Now I understand times are hard for everyone, I’m selling clothes most are brand new with labels in tact , I’ve lost weight so it’s clothes I’ve been bought that have never been worn few are unwanted presents that just haven’t been taken back or never given the receipts for, last week I had woman interested in a one size top really smart I was offering it for 2 pounds, measurements given photo added! Yes I want it, see you soon! Etc etc, never arrived waited in twice! Does this happen very often to people selling things , sorry for probably a daft question!

I sell in FB market place. Although for less than £3 I tend to give away - as making a trip out for a couple of quid isn't really worth it. (I know I'm selling but I can't deal with no shows).
I often jist leave the item on the doorstep in a bag and ask for the money to be put through the door.....I don't have to wait in. So far everyone has done it.....one day someone will take and not leave money but I get that its my risk.

If I'm selling a medium ticket item I always check their fb profile - are they local? If not I don't sell to them. Again why travel for an item £5-20.....

For a big ticket item people do travel.

But you tend to get a feel for the conversation too.

Couldn't be bothered to walk 5 mins!! I'd say you were unlucky!!

I gave up trying to give things away if people had to come collect. Too much messing around.
