Dress ring suggestions

Hi there, my wedding and engagement ring don't fit at the moment. They're always snug in hot weather but I've also put on menopause weight so I'm fighting a battle with that also. I don't like having no ring so would like to buy a dress ring in the meantime. I think the term is 'cocktail' ring? Am happy to pay up to £300 or so, any suggestions? Thanks

Look at Warren James for inexpensive "bling"

It completely depends on what you are looking for, 300 won't buy you very much at all in brand new gold and genuine gemstones on the high street, for instance.
I think for that budget you could get something really nice used/preloved on eBay or Etsy.
If you're not well versed in eBay or jewellery buying, stick to business sellers or sellers with lots of feedback (200/300+ at least, imo)
Never buy anything that looks too good to be true from sellers with less than 100 feedback and always read the small print where you'll see if it's a genuine diamond etc, or lab created.

Look at QVC , their Diamonique range is mainly silver , sometimes rhodium or platinum plated .
Some gold plate and some gold (but obviously more ££ as gold prices high)

Diamonique is a CZ but they also do coloured stones simulations ( though the emerald isn't good as too clear , most natural emerald have inclusions )

You can get your Bling Ring there for way less than £300.
And 60 Day Money Back Guarentee and I think a year guarentee on jewellry ( or it used to be anyway)

Can you not just get the original rings resized?

Some of the presenters are irritating but just mute and watch the videos .

I don;t work for QVC ( Wink

Another vote for Diamonique (I don't work for QVC either!).

I have pieces that I bought over 25 years ago that still look new and sparkle like crazy. I discovered it when I didn't want wear my real diamonds when I was travelling.

I mix it with my real diamonds and it looks identical. For £300 you could get lots of pieces.

I could but I don't really want to as they're platinum and I don't want to mess with their structure, but mainly because I'm working to try and lose weight plus come Autumn when the humidity passes and my water retention comes down a bit, I'll hopefully be able to wear them again as they are.

Thanks I'll have a look at some of those suggestions. I don't necessarily want a replica engagement ring, just a nice ring of some kind for that finger until my own rings fit again.

Look at Liberty (the department store). Plenty of beautiful cocktail rings under £300

ImAvingOops · 23/05/2022 13:22

I bought this from Etsy. Totally love it.

I love Monica Vinader and have a few of her rings.

My QVC Diamonique collection ( not on my Hairy Trucker Hands )
Most £ is on the ring finger eternity style and that is gold and beautiful (not blingy though) I think it was £120ish ?

Have you seen anything/treated yourself yet? Would love to see if you have ☺️

I got a couple of things off Heavenly, a thick band eternity that looks very similar to my real one so that made me happy to have something 'like' it and a thin band. Both seem decent, won't 'fool' anyone but pretty nonetheless 👍
