Petite evening dress

My DD has her year 11 leavers do, not a full on prom but still black tie. We are struggling to find a dress because
a) she is 5ft 1
b) she wants nothing with sparkles
c) despite being petite size 8 she also has a bust (28F)

so mumneters, I need your help. Any good petite, non sequins, non-bridesmaid evening dress suitable for an almost 18 year old?

I got mine (not my prom, teacher so kids prom 🤣) from lipsy. I am 4 ft 11 size 8 but curvy. Wore a navy evening dress with lace at the top.

I’m 5’3 and find Chi Chi London has some good options, it’s good for hourglass shapes especially IMO.

What sort of style does she want? Long, short, knee? Formal, boho… ?

Have you thought about vintage? Vintage is an excellent choice for petite women. My daughter is an almost identical height and size to yours (she was a 28E), she also loathed anything with sparkle or sequins.

She wore a strapless vintage 80's silk Christian Dior dress to her prom, no one could believe it because they had only ever seen her in jodhpurs and smelling of horse 😂

You can pick up fabulous designer vintage dresses for less than the cost of a modern mass produced prom dress and no one else will be wearing the same dress.

As it is shaped around the bust and free flowing down from there so it works well. It is just about ankle skimming rather than midi length. Very pleased with it.
