Walking sandals are not pretty but you are in luck that that style are more in fashion than ever ..
Have you looked at teva ?

greenbirdsong · 21/05/2022 17:36

Cotton traders and clarks have nice ones with padded soles for comfort.
There's also a range at Debenhams online called 'good for the sole' which have some nice ones.

MurderAtTheBeautyPageant · 21/05/2022 17:37

Tevas seem to be the brand that are recommended for situations with lots of walking.

I’ve been looking at Heavenly Feet sandals. Next have the nicer ones. I’m eyeing up these

Wow loads of help really quickly thanks guys! I have never heard of Tevas but I've taken a look and it's not really what I need. These look OK for hiking but I'm looking for a pretty pair of flat cushioned sandals to wear with dresses just for work/shopping. Unfortunately the cheep highstreet type I've always worn are now making my 50 year old knees and ankles ache if I wear them too long!

Thanks greenbirdsong I took a look at cotton traders (I would never have looked there) and found this pair that look nice. I'd really like someone to reccomend some that are comfy.

I've got these and they are very comfy. Come in several different colour ways too.

I tried Toms Sicily sandals in Office and they felt really comfortable. Just waiting for online order to arrive direct from Toms as cheaper.

Three colour options, half sizes, quite supportive, cushioned

broccolibush · 21/05/2022 21:09

@SouthCoastShell I have wide feet and found those heavenly feet too narrow across the forefoot so they might be perfect for you. I’ve just bought several pairs of their river sandals for my crappy feet. They have a contoured and cushioned footbed and an ankle strap so they stay in place. Am raving about them because I haven’t had comfortable sandals in years due to foot issues and I think they’re pretty decent looking too (though I probably wouldn’t call them pretty). It’s just a shame they’re not leather but comfort is my priority these days.

The Hotter Tourist Sandal comes up from time to time on these threads. The John Lewis website looks to have a better selection than Hotter themselves .

EmmaStone · 21/05/2022 21:33

Birkenstocks. Always.

timtam23 · 21/05/2022 21:40

Josef Seibel shoes and sandals are very comfortable, I have a pair of their closed-toe sandals for work and didn't need to break them in at all

PenOrPencil · 21/05/2022 21:50

Tamaris sandals are pretty, cushioned and reasonably priced.

TheCanyon · 21/05/2022 21:55

They seem to be frowned upon on here but I love heavenly feet sandals, they are sooo comfy. I actually had buy a 7e last time as they didn't have an 6ee fit, plenty space for my front foot, no rubbing which is an utter bonus. I used to love the next slider style ones but the leathers tougher now so not as comfy sadly.

eurochick · 21/05/2022 22:14

Air and grace. Reasonably fashionable, supremely comfortable. Sandals usually shred my feet but these were great.

gunnersgold · 22/05/2022 10:53

SouthCoastShell · 22/05/2022 17:24

Fit flops every time, plenty of arch support and cushioned insoles.
