At home laser removal

Does anyone have any experience with at home laser hair removal? I would like to try it for my legs, underarms and bikini. I won't be trying it out until maybe late Sept/ Oct. After I have my baby and when legs will be away for winter! Or should I just get a clinic to do it? I only had a quick look today at something like this: www.boots.ie/philips-lumea-prestige-ipl-hair-removal-device-for-body-face-and-precision-areas--10293006

It says it lasts for years. I would think I will need a top up at some point hence it would be handy to have my own. Also I could do my mams whisker (well the dark ones)!!

I have a braun. It’s excellent. Bikini and underarms have given me better results that my legs. I would recommend.

I did legs and underarms. I'm very pale with very dark hair so it worked amazingly well. My legs would practically have 5 o'clock shadow before and needed daily shaving in summer. Now I never do them. Occasionally remember there are small spots that I missed and I tidy them up but it's rare. I started it a year ago.

I did my upper lip only about 2.5 months ago but again it's brilliant. I never shave under my arms now either. Some hairs remain because they were white/grey already but if I don't do them you'd hardly see them.

@Chanandlerbong1 thanks I'll look up the braun. I only thought of it when I was on boots earlier buying baby stuff.

@Fizzgigg great it should hopefully work well on me. I'm v pale with dark brown hair, no greys yet. Does it take an age to do your legs? Also upper lip does it cause any redness? I don't need there (yet) but my mam could use it, it's not bad but I think she'd like to.

Forgot to add I’ve been using it on my upper lip too. I usually wax - it was waxed approx 3 weeks ago. I’ve used my braun on it three times and there are zero hairs. Usually I’d have full re growth by the three week mark. No redness either.
Ive been using it for a year. Bikini area completely hair free. It’s so smooth. Unsure why my legs don’t have as good results. I’m keeping at it though. Perseverance is key to this.
I got mine on Amazon - it was approx £250

No it doesn't take an age to do legs. About 10-15 mins every 2 weeks at first and then less frequently. And no redness at all on upper lip.

You do have to remove all hair before treating with IPL though so your other hair removal may cause redness eg if you wax. I shaved my legs before treatment. For my lip I got one of those JML flawless hair removal shaver thingys which I found brilliant for in-between treatments for the first two months.
