Is it actually worth selling on Vinted etc ?

I have a wardrobe of decent quality clothes I never wear. Nothing super sought-after but stuff from Warehouse, Next, Miss Sixty jeans from the noughties in pristine condition, naice tops you get the picture

I have got a couple of things myself from Vinted dirt cheap. I also see similar stuff that I would sell on there for not much.

Is it worth the time and arsing about to do it ???

I've bought stuff on Vinted that's been there 10 months. I just couldn't face having stuff Kelly in a drawer waiting to be sold. If I'm not keeping it I want it gone.

Sell the noughties stuff, especially Miss Sixty on Depop rather than Vinted.

Thanks everyone. The day slipped by and I still couldn’t get my arse into gear. Maybe next weekend 😊

You're probably not going to make your next million from it 🤷🏽‍♀️ but I sell bits and bobs quite cheaply, build up money in my account then use it to get "new" things for us. It keeps my clothing budget low and is a bit more environmentally friendly than constantly buying cheap new stuff.

I do this as well. Makes me feel much better about the fuchsia pink doc martens I've just bought to add to my collection.....

I made £90 selling the kids' stuff and used it to buy myself a new (to me) bag.

I know this is an old thread but just commenting in case anyone else searches this question. I think there is one other benefit to selling stuff on ebay/vinted etc. It gets you out of the house! I had a baby during the winter COVID lockdown. All the baby classes were cancelled and I was very isolated and also developed PND. Having a daily walk to the post office gave me a reason to get dressed, pack baby into the pram, have a chat with the post office lady, get out of the house for some fresh air, plus I made a few quid.

So if you are just doing it for money, probably not worth the effort, unless you have expensive stuff to sell, but there might be some unexpected benefits like those I experienced.

I find Vinted postage much easier than the post office!. Just take it to local news agents or a locker point. You can switch off any carriers that aren’t convenient in your profile. It depends on whether a bit of extra cash would be worth it to you. I’ve made about £400 over the last year so to me it’s worth it. I tend to only put stuff on that’s over £10 though I take offers.
