Is it worth replacing my epilator?

I have an epilator that has had sporadic use since I bought it about 10 years ago. I've recently returned to using it as I like having to only tackle the leg hair once a week (I have quite thick dark hair). I'm still finding it quite uncomfortable and was wondering if the newer models are any better/more efficient as mine misses the shorter hairs. I've got about £50 ish to spend but don't want to waste my money if its not going to be any better. Opinions please!

I bought a Phillips lumea in an Amazon warehouse sale. Practically the end of leg hair! I strongly suggest keeping your £50 and saving some more until you can afford one. I’ve used waxing and epilators etc, no contest!

Yes! The shaver part of my old epilator broke and I replaced it. Can’t believe how much better the new epilator part is, it’s unrecognisable. I epilate my legs regularly and it’s basically pain free.

I already have a lumea and tbh I find it a real faff for my legs, it does work but I find it takes too long and the results are patchy because there's no way of knowing if you've covered an area properly.

Yes replace it, Id had the same epilator for over 10 years! The new one is so much better.

I replaced my 10 year old epilator and shaver a couple of months ago and I can't believe how much better my new one is. It removes much shorter hair and has a wider head so is quicker to use.

Both my old and new ones are the top of the range Braun Silk Epil but the difference is unbelievable. I bought it half price from Boots and got £20 worth of points.

I suppose it understandable that the old one wasn't as good as it used to be, I'd be blunt too after a decade of tackling my bikini line and yeti legs.

i bit the bullet and replaced my approx 20year old epilator this morning and what a difference
i was getting plagued with red spots almost immediately when using the old one and just ran over my legs with the new ones and they feel alot smoother and no red spots
i wished i had done it sooner - my leg hair is patchy from years of epilating so didnt want to switch back to shaving or using my ipl on my legs

Would anyone who has recommended buying a new one care to state which one they now have please?
