Cheaper versions of Hush Amie or Alexa?

I really like the look of these Hush joggers and harem pants but just cannot bring myself to fork out £55 on what are basically trackie bots, even if they are slightly more elegant versions.

Has anyone seen anything similar but more reasonably priced?

H&M do good joggers

AnyFucker · 20/05/2022 23:14

Nothing beats them, sorry

I have these ones from Next in three different colours. They are quite thin fabric but I like them for summer.

I came to recommend those Sainsbury’s ones. I’ve got 5 or more pairs. Wear them most days. Though they have changed the pickets from bring inside to sewn on the outside and my phone falls out now. Otherwise 🙌

What’s the sizing like in the Next ones? They look fab with all the different prints. I go a size or two down in the Hish ones I like them slim fitting - is the Next sizing generous too?

Threetulips · 21/05/2022 07:25

I’m a general size 12 but buy 10 in next bottoms.

My Hush Amie joggers went bobbly and looked shapeless within a few washes, very disappointing.

LegsOfJelly · 21/05/2022 08:13

Thanks, all. I'll check those out. Interesting re bobbling etc after a few washes - I've had similar experiences with Hush knitwear which puts me off buying from them.

I often size down with Next but they are drawstring so slightly adjustable waist.

CocteauTwin · 22/05/2022 11:23

I used to love the original Hush harem trousers (now called Alexa) but they have changed, and not for the better. They're not as loose fitting as before and the quality isn't as good. I have a couple of old pairs which are still going strong, but the last pair I bought are fit for the bin. My alternative is from Boden - a bit cheaper than Hush, but not super cheap: www.boden.co.uk/en-gb/hareem-jersey-joggers/sty-j0927

Agree that Hush quality has deteriorated so much. I really wouldn't bother with their joggers or T-shirts now. I had a pair of their old Harem pants that lasted well for 5 years, I don't think that would be the case with the Alexa's. Next ones are ok but thin - fine for summer. I'm off to look at Boden now!

I think Hush got sold and that seems to have coincided with a quality decline...

I got some Abercrombie and Fitch ones in TK Maxx.
