Someone explain Free People to me

I’ve recently started buying from here, I like the relaxed fits and bright colours and it feeds my midlife crisis nicely.
But it’s such a strange shop, I filter for shorts and I’m given 852 options ranging from £24 to £427. Its not something I’m used to seeing with UK brands, is that how things work in the US?

They’re a wholesaler who sell clothes and other bits from loads of different brands. Some of those brands are crazy prices, others aren’t.

That’s interesting, everything I’ve bought has a FP label on it but I did slot they sell Tevas and Birkenstocks
