Hard wearing nail polish

I had a manicure on Monday. Just clear polish, base coat and top coat. I like my nails neat and "done" but coloured polish is lovely on others, but I don't like it on me.

My hands look much better now the cuticles are tidy etc and the polish is still in perfect condition. When I do them myself, it starts cracking and flaking within a day or two.

What do they do that makes such a difference and where can I get "professional" nails varnish?

I find I can get a week's wear out of coloured polish if I use the Barry M Plumpy top coat. It's very cheap but makes a big difference.

Time 60 seconds, cheap as chips, you can't get it wrong it's so easy to apply and I can a week out of it. Weeks on toes.
