Lash extensions for holiday abroad?

Do any of you guys get these done for holidays abroad?

Will I still be able to splash about with the kids on the beach without them getting ruined?

I got them done once and I didn't think they were that long but they knocked against my sunglasses every time I blinked which was very annoying. Looked good though!

I've had them done before a holiday and they were great. They stood up to swimming, showering, etc. and were the perfect 'accessory' during the day when I didn't wear any make up. They did damage my natural lashes though. But I will have them again because for a beach holiday they are worth it.
