I've recently returned to the office and have been looking for smart office shoes but also that I could wear out of the office:-

I ordered and tried these:-

These were the best I found:-

Why is it so hard to find comfy shoes that look great?

I got some fab ones in M&S - I think they were Clarks originally. They were black leather and had a slight western heel, almond toe and a slight notch front. I ummed and ahhed as I thought they were bland, but very comfy and called them my 'sad' shoes i.e. not particularly fashionable. Oh my god I love them! They work under wide trousers and with most dresses with tights.

I do find summer work shoes with dresses a bit harder- I'd probably go for a chunky loafer.

Love both your choices OP. Try M&S too

I wore these today. Enough of a heel to give a rise but not enough that Ty feel like you are in heels. And the heel is chunky so no wobbling. Limited sizes though...

I bought some cheap loafers from
new look which I keep in my desk drawer and slip on when I get to work. I wear trainers to and from the office.

Might be worth re-ordering the leather, the leather will mould to your feet but do need wearing in. What was uncomfortable about them?
