Has anyone ever had a personal stylist session at Westfield?

I think it's with Style Doctors? The reviews look AMAZING but I'd like to hear from someone who's actually done it!

I had one years ago at TopShop and it was the best thing. I'm still wearing the jacket she picked out then!

I know John Lewis do it but I feel their clothes are a bit too old for me just yet so looking for something on the high street.

DSis did this for a MOB outfit about 3 years ago, I went along for moral support. Was it worth it yes and no.

Absolutely brilliant for showing DSis stuff she'd never have picked her self, pushing her to try things on and taking her out of her comfort zone but with some great choices. For example we'd arrived early and had looked in some of the same shops, but simply didn't spot the same things she did, so I doubt we'd have done as well just by ourselves. She definitely picked up that DSis didn't want a typical MOB outfit and she ended up with a really gorgeous outfit and accessories, that was very much 'her' and some good tips on how to get it altered (wrap top jumpsuit so needed a tweak to give better boob coverage) and what underwear etc to wear. She also obviously knew the staff and had a really good rapport with them and she knew the stock well - on one occasion she recalled an item no longer out on the shop floor, but when she asked about it they found one in the back.

However, I would say she did have a certain style herself and I could see that reflected in her choices - not necessarily a bad thing and it wasn't like a carbon copy - but not sure how good it would have been if we'd wanted something completely opposite to her 'range' if you see what I mean. So maybe its a bit of luck on who you get and how closely you align in style choices. And of course unlike John Lewis or one off shops you pay for the service. I had a look on line prices have gone up since we did it, so I guess it can be quite steep with a fee plus anything you buy.
