Splitting nails!

Help please! My finger nails keep splitting, something that never happened until very recently, they’ve always been pretty strong and grown quickly. What can I do to repair them!

Vaseline, a tiny amount rubbed into nails and surrounding skin and you will have strong but supple nails in no time.

I'm keen to see the responses to this because I have 5 strong fast growing nails and 5 which split and never make it past the fingertip, it's so weird.

Are you feeling ok generally? When mine did that it was a sign of iron deficiency. If you’re feeling generally tired or a bit under the weather you might want to get your GP to check you out for any vitamin deficiencies

Thanks for the advice folks! Il definitely try Vaseline. I don’t know if I’ve an iron deficiency - could be - but I’m not feeling any less healthy than usual.

Actually not all my nails split either @DailySheetWasher, it’s just my thumbs and first two fingers on each hand - strange isn’t it?

Oh I had that and it took me years to figure it out what was causing it! it was using baby wipes on my kids when they were babies the skin would spilt at the side as well. They are worse ATM because of all handwashing & using hand sanitiser which can dry nails.
