It's the first of my "peers" from a previous career to retire. There will be lots of people there I haven't seen in years. It's Friday evening after work, so most people will be straight from work, although I imagine many are WFH now.
Back then, dress in this industry was very formal and I wore good quality suits or tailored dresses and heels. I suspect it's far less formal now.
I dress much more casually now and haven't worn heels in years.
My options:
- A really lovely semi fitted navy dress with either block or stiletto heels. This is the kind of thing I'd have worn to this do "before" but maybe too formal now?
- A flowy summer dress, colourful, with trainers
- A column t-shirt dress with trainers
- Formal/dark wide leg jeans, trainers and some sort of top. Leather jacket
- More casual bleached wides leg jeans, as above.
My feet are a real mess because I run 100s of miles a month, so no sandals 😆
I think it's forecast to be warm, so maybe not jeans?
