Weekend in Spa hotel...how to look polished?!

And look more expensive/polished than usual! I live in jeans and trainers.
I need a few simple (inexpensive) items i can wear to look polished. Any ideas?

I'm thinking simple black midi dress with denim jacket and black sandals?
Black jeans and top? I don't know.. its all black!
How do people do casual that looks expensive?

Even down to nail polish, what's classy? I usually go for nude pinks/reds.

I think having a recent cut and color, making sure eyebrows are sorted, nails and toenails ( unless you are getting them done there).
Skin exfoliated and moisturized.
So you look polished regardless of the clothes.

You see, this is why I avoid spas and similar like the plague. I feel I have to scrub up and be oh so smooth of leg and skin and perfect for mingling with those who usually already look polished and ready!

If I were OP, the only concession I would make is to ditch the jeans, and wear comfortable but well ironed and nice coloured clothes. The spa can do the rest of the polishing. Anyway no one will notice really, they are far too busy looking at themselves I reckon.

Hmm, I don't usually do this kind of thing, it is a treat. I'm getting anxious over it now though!

I was at the gym today and the girls in the spa area were all wandering about in towelling robes, with their hair pulled back. They were all drinking proseccos and enjoying afternoon tea. They didn't look polished just relaxed and happy. It's the spa's job to do the polishing. You're meant to chill.

Go as you are, once you're there no-one is looking at anyone else and no-one cares. Honestly, people are just there to relax and for their own enjoyment. Something nice, like you mentioned is nice for dinner, instead of the jeans, that's all that's needed.
