Short school socks

Dd is in Y7 with a drawer full of knee length black socks. Little did I know, that it is the biggest fashion faux pas to wear knee length socks in summer term and that it's all about short socks. She's taken some of my black trainer socks but it looks a bit strange with her school brogues. Anyway, I have only 2 pairs and need to find the right black short / ankle / trainer school socks.

Where can I find good ones?

John Lewis. We buy ours in weight but they are perfect fit. And tell you the size on the inside of the sock in case you have more than 1 DD.

I also bought knee length. Not had comments but I see the judgement in the teacher’s eyes. 🫤

Do you look in JL the school uniform section, women's or kids socks?

Just search for “kids’
school socks”
or “kids’
ankle socks”

Next! My 12 year old had the white and black ones, the ones with next written on the sole are slightly higher than trainer socks and they do 'school socks' which have different patterns on the sole which is handy to differentiate from mine

And they're just in the kids section but got up to size 4-7 like adults
