Sandal straps that don't slide off

I don't know whether its because I walk in a funny way, but I'm always finding that the back strap on sandals slides down my heel. I tend to find this out after I've bought the sandals, and I then find them really unstable and hard to walk any distance in. As a result, I only have one pair of sandals I can really walk in, and they're Teva flatform, with their nicely adjustable fabric straps. Has anyone found a solution for this or am I alone in my slidey-ness?? I suppose I could shift to sandals with ankle straps, but I've got quite chunky calves, so I don't think it would be a great look.

I have this issue too, bought some lovely sandals last year and the strap just kept slipping down at the back. I mainly wear strapless now, though I have bought some chunky sandals from Next that I’m hoping will be ok as they have a wider strap.

This happens to me, I've never found a solution - no back strap or ankle straps only for me!

Clarks sandals have hidden elastics that might help.

I use Birkenstock mayaris which keep the foot down while not requiring a back strap.

Stick on leather heel liners, trimmed to fit if needed. Doesn't really work on very thin straps as they tend to come unstuck.

I have a pair of these www.moshulu.co.uk/product/hosta-bright-2286#?variant=369 as you can see the heel strap goes up weather than flat . This means they fit in the hollow above your ankle and stay up

I have the same problem - can't wear slingback shoes at all! Thought I had managed to find some tight ones for my wedding and ended up shuffling down the aisle! I second Birkenstock sandals - I have some Bali that have a very delicate ankle strap so may work ok for you.
