Am happy to spend up to 500 to get the right dress. Nothing 50s style.

Sites I already know -
Ted Baker
Needle and Thread
Self Portrait
Bombshell
Coast
Department stores obviously
ba&&sh
ME+EM
Hobbs
Phase Eight
I'm panicking and can't even remember any others. Please add any suggestions.

Hi @RitaFaircloughsWig

Ooh have a look in Fenwicks website.

Loads of lovely dresses to wear for a wedding.

Nancy Mac have some lovely things.
Aspiga also look good; I'm considering the following one for an Autumn wedding:

www.aspiga.com/products/victoria-organic-curduroy-dress-teal?_pos=1&_sid=92043a369&_ss=r&variant=40003893395636

They also do the same dress in cotton poplin in fuchsia pink which would be more summery.

My real favourite is Condici.

Also Wolf & Badger and the Pretty Dress Company.
I haven't tried the latter as I've read some reviews saying they can be quite slow about refunds and I know I'll have to order more than one, with the intention of returning the rest, to get a good fit.

What's your style OP? Age etc? That would help with suggestions. These are fairly youngish brands and some at risk of looking cheap but if you're selective they do occasionally have some lovely designs that don't break the bank (though I appreciate you have some cash to spend)

Alternatively....... just go to a few charity shops in 'good' neighborhoods - and you're likely to find a few worn once only wedding outfits that would have cost alottadosh when new...

Monsoon, Roman have some really nice dresses at really good prices

I'm nearly 60 but I hate that type of dress/jacket bolero type combo. I think I want a wrap dress maybe midi length and quite flowy .
Thanks to everyone who has contributed so far. I'm going to have a browse later.
