Please help
Dh and I are going to the Chelsea flower show to a corporate event that having read the invitation fully now is from 3pm for a look round the show then champagne reception and dinner in the evening.

I was thinking a me&em cheesecloth dress in navy with tan cross body bag and white platform pumps but now having seen the reception etc I'm wondering if that ok ?

I'm size 12-14 and 36 c
Any help much appreciated.

For Chelsea start with the shoes. It is crowded, you will walk and stand a lot so comfortable, protective shoes are a must, if it rains the place turns into a quagmire so have a suitable back up plan. Have a lovely time, my dd went to the Chelsea as a guest at the Raymond Blanc pop up restaurant a few years ago, she loved it, I don’t think she saw many plants through, apart from the table top herbs they snipped themselves! I have always envied the corporate guests as I trudge past looking for somewhere to sit ( hint head for the bandstand area) .

ps if the shoes are comfy then your outfit sounds fine.

Will the show be open or are you going in a press day?

In my experience, women do dress up. But especially on press day when the celebs are in.

I see a lot of floral tea dresses and wide brimmed hats. But, I've also seen utility wear from the die hard gardeners. If it's a champagne reception, I think your outfit sounds great. The big thing for me was the pollen (it's everywhere and even people who do not suffer normally are streaming from it) so take antihistamines with you in case!

@JuneOsborne
We are going on the first public day so I think I will go with the dress I thought of .
Thanks so much for your advice and I'm very much looking forward to it!
Antihistamines are an awesome shout - thank you .
