How do I fake tan my face but keep up skin routine??

I’m pale, don’t fake tan dark, I used st trope express foam which is a nice colour on me and I used it on my face, which also looks fine. My question is how do I keep up my skin routine with fake tan? Without it taking off the fake tan?? I have combination skin…. It gets very dry in my forehead and eyes…. I like to use the nip and fab glycolic pads once or twice a week which is a no go with fake tan as it takes it off… what do I do??? Or do I use a different type of fake tan on my face? But then how do I match the same fake tan colour if I’m using a different product? Also same thing if I use a gradual tan? Which I think is going to be the best thing for me as fake tan doesn’t last long (I put this at tropez on Friday and it’s already a bit patchy and I have moisturised every day but not exfoliated since then) no idea where to start? I’d like to fake tan through the summer (I don’t usually as I can’t get it right) but I want some kind of routine that will work and make the skin still look nice?

I use Sienna sleep tanning drops and add one or two drops to my night time serum. It's fantastic!

I've tried lots of tanning drops and this is the best one.

@ElenaSt so do tanning drops not get affected by other products? Do you tan the rest of your body?

St Tropez do a facial tan spray,

@GettingStuffed I have used the face spray last year and didn’t like it but I just had a look and see they also now do drops… just want to know how to work this in a normal skin care?

If you're using glycolic acid or retinol it will mean your fake tan won't last very long. I'm not sure there's any way around that. You probably need to pick tan or actives.

I use glycolic pads everyday and have done for a couple of years. If I’m using fake tan I probably have to do it more often on my face than my body. I normally just look in the mirror and if I look a bit pale I will slap some fake tan on.

if I was using retinol I’d be alternating my evenings with fake tan or retinol. Or one after the other, if I had built up the retinol to every night.

I struggle with this too! I’ve reduced the frequency of using acid toner, which I only ever do at night so do this twice a week now and then the morning after acid toning I use an instant fake tan on my face, wash it off that night then put standard fake tan on my face that night, followed by serum and moisturiser. Repeat process a few days later!

I really like the Utan lavender facial spray utan.co.uk/collections/all/products/utan-x-jamie-tanning-water It's designed to go over skincare at night.
