Interview Suit-Dress Style?

Hi,

I'm looking to buy a new interview suit, preferably in a dress style with jacket, if such a thing exists. Staying with safe colors like navy and black. I've done the pants and pencil skirt jacket combo before, but feel like a dress is more my style and could also work for other work events if I drop the jacket. Just need to ensure they match and everywhere I look seems to only do trousers/skirts with the jacket.

Where should I go? Happy to spend in the £200-300 range if it's a good quality and will last.

Here's a pic of one style of dress I saw online to give a sense of the dress style, but there's no jacket to go with it and I think it'll be a nightmare to match the jacket if they aren't meant to go together.

Great dress! Could you maybe go for a coordinating rather than matching jacket - like a Chanel-esque tweed maybe?

I think finding suits at the moment is really tough - DD has to wear formal wear in 6th form, and it's always been really hard finding something in the prescribed dress code that also matches her aesthetics. M&S has been helpful (if a little boring). We succumbed to buying her a menswear suit yesterday (she wears a lot of mens clothes anyway).

You've probably tried all these, but:
Hobbs
Reiss
The Fold
LK Bennett
Next?

I don't think it's something very common and you might not get much use out of the jacket.

I wear dresses and jackets for work/interviews but not matching ones. So black and white dress with a black jacket for eg. You get much more use out of the two items that way.

I wonder if something like this paired with a white blouse underneath might work? It has a jacket look but is just a dress, also from LK Bennett.

I have the Hobbs Ophelia dress suit and I love it for interviews (just rebought the dress in a size bigger as have put on weight since the last one sadly…). It is black, which works in my industry but I know isn’t everyone’s favourite. I also have the trousers and wear it as a trouser suit sometimes:
