M&S Wide Leg Trousers

Has anybody else bought these ( the side stripe heavy jersey ones in particular) and found that they shrink? I’ve followed the washing instructions and even washed them at a lower temp than they say but they’ve shrunk. Now they cling to my bum instead of skimming it 🙄
I also have a pair of the non jersey ones and the trousers themselves have not shrunk but the stripe material at the side has which means they stick out weirdly at the bottom.

I have them. Both the wide legged plain jersey and the side striped.
Not noticed any shrinkage. I washed them at 30.

So did I. They didn’t shrink on the first wash but maybe the second or third. I’m considering buying more and just dry cleaning them. But that does seem extravagant for fairly cheap trousers!

These were my go-to trousers a few years back. I bought four pairs! Then, unfortunately, they changed the quality of the fabric. It had been great; it washed well, hung well and managed to be heavy but fine at the same time. Now the material is cheaper, it shrinks, does not hold its shape. A huge shame!

I have the black ones with the green stripe down the side. They have definitely shrunk! I haven't noticed them smaller around the waist, but they are borderline too short for me. I have to wear them very low slung, or else they'd look ridiculous. I actually checked because I thought I may have bought a short length in error. However, I did foolishly tumble dry them Confused

Oh that's a shame. I have similar ones from MS. What about buying a size up?

I should have said, I do love trousers and get lots of compliments on them. I'd consider rebuying in the longer length (even though I'm definitely average height).
