Sorry bad description, there is nothing toned about me. Well I have muscles somewhere, but still under padding. I've lost a lot of weight, but still 4 kg to go. I don't think I'll manage this in the 4 weeks before my holiday, but still want to buy a flattering bikini. So suggestions please. I haven't been on holiday in over 15 years. I'm in my 40's and have two small children. I'm pale. Prob 34 D, although I don't look like I have boobs. I'm quite broad backed, tall. I was pear shaped but now since getting older I seem to have become much boxier.

I’ve had it a few years now but I have a Board Shorts Bikini from seafolly that I am really happy with. The shorts are “cute” but cover enough wobble. The top has padding for my 32Cs. I think there are many more similar options available.

I'm pear shaped, probably 36D and broad shouldered. Have gone from 12.1 to 10.10 and probably going to lose another 10 pounds, but not much tone!

Board shorts is a good shout - Lands End?

The other style I have landed on are fold over bikini bottoms as you can make them high waisted or roll them down. Top wise, for broad shoulders the straps need to be thick to break up the shoulders. So a thick halter or extra fabric. I do find pattern is best for my smaller bust, or frill on colour as it creates an illusion of more bust.

I have ordered the Boden Corsica (going from my usually 12 top to a 16 as it comes up small), and also one from Mint Velvet (halter, fold over). We shall see whether I hate them!

I tried open kimonos but I can't get on with them, but something this style where it cinches the waist would be flattering on a pear (not this necessarily, I just googled randomly for the style):

When you loose weight you can actually jiggle more , for a bit.
tan, tan and slightly wedged flip flops!
the good news is sarongs are back in fashion!
