Which foundation?

I need a new foundation. Up until now I have used No.7 Beautifully Matte and it's been great for me, but from reading recent reviews it looks like they've changed the formula and people are not happy.

What foundation would you recommend? I am prepared to spend a little bit more than usual (£15) because since working from home I find I'm wearing make-up less often.
Mac? Este Lauder? Clinique? Something else?

I have really pale skin, slightly on the oily side, a bit dull and scaring on my chin from spots.

I use shade 'calico' in no7 if that makes a difference.

Nars sheer glow, despite the name it's a matte finish.

Or
Illamasqua skin base.

Both give really good coverage without looking heavy or caked on.

Armani luminous silk foundation is my favourite, nice coverage without being heavy. I'm very pale (think Caspar the friendly ghost!) and they do a great range of shades. Think it's about £30-£35.
