Give me your tips for a 2 week 'detox' / boost post COVID

I am looking rough. Not overweight, the opposite but with a largeish/out of proprtion, menopausal stomach. I have had long Covid and it affected me badly for 4 or 5 months. Initially I was bed ridden. Am 51.

I lost alot of hair so it is thin (to me) DD also says it looks thinner.

Number one is I will colour it this weekend. DD will trim it.

What can I do to give a lift in 2/3 weeks? Any tips would be great. I will do the usual no alcohol, vit suplements? not too many carbs and lots of fish ie good protein. Also is it 2 litres of water a day?

What can help? I was previously slim and fairly youthful looking. I now look a complete mess. Exercise is still difficult, but my muscles have wasted. So am skinny, not a good look at 51.

I generally eat well.

Hi sorry you've had such a bad time of it. I would say try and see if you can get into some gentle yoga, yes to supplements particularly iron and b vitamins. Try a new haircut and some gradual fake tan if that's your thing. And try and get some sunshine.

I have just seen my GP (also long COVID) who told me she very strongly believes you need to increase your (animal) protein intake to help recovery.

Thank you @Brillenbar47 yes, I am trying to eat lots of protein. I think the problem is I have eaten so little for the last few months.

It is a good sign being concerned with appearane again though!

Sorry you have been through it too. Presumably, fingers crossed, summer will do us good.

I find exercising indirectly helps in that it boosts my spirits. I am also less hungry as a result!

If you have a local leisure centre the sauna/steam room is always good for detox.

Wanted to add - my nars illuminating tinted moisturizer, eyebrow pencil and a bit of mascara have helped me feel more human too - takes no time

Kombucha. I've recently started drinking it and have noticed a difference. Particularly with my stomach. I have IBS, so I have to be careful and have had an awful time with it recently. Drinking this has helped massively. Can get it in most supermarkets/health stores

Also sunflower seeds or fennel seeds
