I always associate white jeans with Liz Hurley. She's a beautiful woman of course but I'd aim to wear them in a more contemporary way than she does. Definitely no pairing them with wedge heels!

mdinbc · 05/05/2022 23:11

Yes - love white jeans.

Bambi7 · 05/05/2022 23:13

Yes to white jeans for home and holiday x

crispsandnuts · 05/05/2022 23:23

Ah yes, she wore them well!
How would you style them? I've got some from a couple of years ago but I seem have lost the ability to know what would look good with them.
I'm mid forties, size 10.

I wear mine with Birkenstocks and a plain t shirt (usually royal blue)

I think as the pp wears hers, with sandals and a blue t-shirt. Casual and cool rather than Liz's more formal style.

I’ve got a pair of soft, off-white straight leg jeans. I wear them a lot, with:
Birkenstock Boston’s and rusty orange vest
Hi top canvas trainers, vest and loose denim shirt
Oversized striped jumper
And all sorts of plain and striped tees.

I think it just risks looked dated if they’re skinny and worn with eg wedges/strappy tops etc.

Some ideas here: frenchstyle.co/white-jeans/

ArtVandalay · 06/05/2022 07:48

I’m wearing white jeans today. With Birkenstocks and a grey silky shirt.

They are a few years old, and slim rather than skinny and so comfy. I love them and even wore them on a 9 hour flight recently.

I’d never wear them with wedges 😂

GettingStuffed · 06/05/2022 09:46

Don't they get dirty easily?

vitahelp · 06/05/2022 10:20

I've just got some but am being cautious over how I wear them. They are Mom fit rather than skinny, and I wear them with shirts tucked in and a belt to stop them looking too tacky.
I wouldn't wear them with my tight tshirts that I usually pair with my blue jeans. Sounds silly but I do have negative feelings about white jeans paired with the wrong things.

I have had these relaxed skinny ecru (off white) jeans for a few years. I wear them with neutral t shirts and Birkies.

thisplaceisweird · 06/05/2022 10:32

Yes but need to be straight leg, barrel leg or culottes, never skinny!!

BusterGonad · 06/05/2022 11:22

Liz Hurley is the queen of white jeans.

LeeMiller · 06/05/2022 12:20

I like the styling ideas on that French style link. Im tempted but I’ve always ended up going for a light blue wash instead because I’m scared they’ll get dirty too easily.

imstilljenny2 · 06/05/2022 13:45

I love them in the summer and would agree with previous posters-never skinny! Would only wear straight or wide leg. I think they look nice with soft coloured tops so camel/tan, soft pale blue or light olive looks nice with white. I've seen them styled with ecru but I really don't suit that colour so wouldn't wear it.

AmberLynn1536 · 06/05/2022 14:14

Liz is embarrassed to wear them now despite loving them (see end of clip)

ShirleyPhallus · 06/05/2022 14:16

I love white jeans. With a slight turn up, Birkenstocks, olive t-shirt, loads of gold jewellery, straw bag, sunglasses, tan and freshly highlighted hair.

somehow everything looks all golden and shimmery and it’s such a good look

Boood · 06/05/2022 14:24

I’ve got a barrel-legged/mom style pair and they’re great for the summer with tshirts and converse- much cooler feeling than blue jeans. Actually not ideal for holidays though, as they get grubby so quickly.

QuantumWeatherButterfly · 06/05/2022 14:26

I have just acquired a pair of white jeans. I'm liking the sound of the these lovely blue, olive or rusty orange t-shirts to go with them. Where would anyone recommend getting these from, assuming I want nice fabric that drapes well?

But there's still a high chance I'll wear my wedges with them anyway despite the warnings

Me too to the wedges Grin I'm even more of a rebel and got skinny ones! With a turned up bottom, I think they are perfectly acceptable. Birkenstocks and a darker coloured tee obvs.

SheAndHerAreWomen · 06/05/2022 14:29

Skinny jeans not wedges obvs.

Bizarrely, next has absolutely lovely T-shirts which do the job just perfectly. I have this and it looks lovely

TheDuchessOfMN · 18/05/2022 14:30

It’s a yes from me, I wear them.

But I don’t think they’re “in fashion” - I don’t even see them in the shops anymore

Classica · 18/05/2022 14:37

Those Next t-shirts look great aside from their length. They look too long and I can't stand anything that covers my bum (aside from pants and trousers).
