Lovely smelling shampoo

I used to LOVE the yellow and pink old school Herbal Essences, but they've been discontinued. I also liked Fructis back in the 90s. What might I like today?

I'm so bored of the usual (I use Aussie and Head & Shoulders a lot), and Herbal Essences no longer smells the same.

Please suggest a well priced lovely smelling shampoo to me!

I bought this recently in Lidl for DD (the orange bottle, argan oil) and it smells gorgeous! So much so that I've used it myself and it's really lovely to use. Total bargain and I'll definitely be buying it again Smile

Ahh that looks very similar to the ultimate blends range (not the food banana one) I like so thanks I'm hoping it's the same!.

Anyway OP I too like the old school herbal essences and so am following for suggestions. My only suggestion is the ultimate blends ones (or maybe theses ones in the picture if they are similar!) I don't like smelling of a fruit.

Or aveda rosemary and mint but its pricey

Don’t want to hijack but can anyone recommend bars that smell good?

The Aveda shampure one smells gorgeous but I couldn’t get on with it, hence going to the metal bottles and recyclable refills I posted earlier.

TeaChocKitKat · 06/05/2022 21:58

All of the aveda shampoos smell lovely. The 1litre bottles are ££ but last for ages and are well worth it.

I agree, Faith in Nature shampoo smells wonderful and is so kind to your hair and scalp.

Maui smells amazing, I've only used the Bamboo one so can't say about the others. Also Garnier ultimate blends - the oat milk one, light pink bottle.

I use shampoo bars from Gruum. The brightening one smells lovely!

I love Head and Shoulders Apple 2-in-1. No other shampoo makes my hair feel or smell as clean.

posalie · 07/05/2022 19:36

Btw I echo what a PP said about Alberto Balsam. The apple one smells similar to old school HE chamomile, but isn't as strong so you don't smell it all day long (one of the things I loved about old school HE).

I really like the smell of L'Oréal Dream Lengths (orange and pink bottle)

This ^ smells divine.

Also I noted two very "senior" fellows sniffing my hair when I once used L'Oréal Elvive Oil conditioner (in a complimentary non sleazy manner).

FWIW I expect my higher end shampoos to smell good, high Street brands have really upped their game.

I agree evokes apples totally - so fresh and clean
