Smart Comfortable Black Trainers For Work

Flame76 · 05/05/2022 13:57

I'm back in the office but suffering horrible hip and knee pain (arthritis) so need to ditch 'proper' shoes for something with a bit more cushioning. Even my usual Hotter flats aren't cutting it. Can anyone recommend any smart black trainers that I can wear with decent cushioning (converse etc are too flat for me)? Sketchers are my usual go to outside of work. They need to work with black trousers, which is my usual work attire.

I was going to suggest Skechers...

Have you considered Birkenstocks?

They do a lot more than the classic sandals now.

My friend had really bad foot issues and ended up referred to a consultant surgeon - he said either I will have to operate but you should try Birkenstocks first. She did and they were a game changer for her.

They now do some with a softer footbed.

I have really bad pronation and they really help me too.

I think my friend had plantar fasciitis, but can't quite remember.

FitFlop rally or superloafer. I've also got the normal loafers which are very comfy too

Nike are quite plain and my dd found better fit than sketchers which had gone a bit odd.

These are like walking on air - but it's a very marmite design...

Thank you, I'll take a look at the suggestions. I'm thinking I need a trainer with a smooth leather type 'top' but hard to find. And even harder if they need to have a really cushioned sole....
