Soft waisted wide leg trousers for a pear

I really need some trousers that are not jeans. I'm a pear, but also have a bit of a mum tum on the lower half. I want some wide leg trousers that won't dig in. Tried on loads today at m&s, but none of them have pockets on the bum, which makes it look huge, and I'm only size 10/12!

If you're a pear, and bought some recently that are comfy and flattering, please point me in the right direction!

Saint and Sofia have a bad reputation on here, but I love these- they’re really flattering, easy to wear and comfortable. I’m sure I didn’t pay the higher price for them, though.

Thanks, it's a bit more than I wanted to spend though. I'll keep looking... Will probably go back to m&s as I was rushing a bit too.

Hi Op

Both these from Joe Browns. I have the casual blue ones. They come up large so best to size down if you like them.

I don't knows if you saw these at M&S but they are great. Very forgiving and comfortable.

COS usually have some with a narrow bit elasticated in the back but a normal button and zp in the front, usually in 100% cotton. I have two paires that are so comfy I wear them on "home" days as they're as comfortable as pj's. They do great sales. Mine were about £25 each.

Oliver Bonas are usually very good for trousers like this - I think the key is soft, fluid fabric that's not too floaty, as it will drape more flatteringly.

I have these from Mint Velvet. Nice and comfy and go with both my converse or smarter shoes say for work. Flattering for a pear shape too.

I just bought some from Muji. Absolutely gorgeous and under £40.

M&S Jersey side stripe trousers are THE BOMB. Everyone compliments me when I wear them.

I got some from Amazon (their own brand).

the waist is elasticated and does tend to rise up to way above the waist (but they are comfy).
