Is anyone else doing this?

5 months after giving birth I’ve lost all but 5lbs of the baby weight. My body composition is not as I like, I’m going to try and figure out how I can make it to a gym. Maybe in the evenings when my husband is home and baby and toddler asleep.

Other than that, so far I’ve:

  • researched and ordered what I hope will be some good face and body fake tan

  • Tinted my own eyebrows with just for men beard dye, and my lashes with a kit

  • bought a few new clothes

  • booked a dental hygienist session, planning to also buy some crest white strips

  • researched and bought a clarifying shampoo to try and improve my hard water ravaged hair, also L’Oréal wonder water

I like the idea of beard dye for eyebrows !
i am in the process of losing weight / toning up with 5:2 and gym visits.
still looking for a good fake tan, but started taking beta carotene a month ago for an inner glow.
have bleach from the dentist and moulds but never do it (thank you for reminder).
booking a mani & pedi for just before I go away on hols.

superplumb · 05/05/2022 07:09

Haha you have both reminded me of my just for men beard dye now the grey is poking through my eyebrows.
I'm currently losing weight
Will up my weights in the gym
Try pilate at home every day ( yeah right)
I already drink a lot of water but hope to continue
Sort my crap diet out
Started fake tan ( Amanda Harrington)
Ordered those fake eyelashes which last a week at a time
Started crest whitening strips

Iwanttenofthose · 05/05/2022 07:10

Yes!

I've got back into dying my eyebrows with refectocil. It doesn't take on my lashes though, what lash dye do you use?
Started with blue shampoo to get rid of the brassy orange tones my hair has taken on after using that awful josh wood dye.
Using Clarins tan drops on my face for a healthy glow without a full on tan.
Bought some "new" clothes on Vinted.
Doing 16:8 and occasionally 18:6.
May even charge up the epilator soon!

Is the beta carotene working? That sounds great

Where did you get the crest strips and which ones?
I have started using gradual tan (skinny tan)
Using utan gummies
Better skincare (paulas choice bha, arrow illuminating moisturiser, this works detox spray, this works hyaluronic acid).
Just about to tone my hair grey.
Bought the best lipbalm that keeps my lips hydrated all day. Milani rose and it adds a little colour which is unique to you.

Iwanttenofthose · 05/05/2022 11:55

Sodie that lip balm sounds fab, I've just ordered one

I think so, I’m really pale and do need all the help I can get, apparently it also helps lessen the affects of Sun damage on skin. However, I’ve also had Profhilo and that really improved the skin on my face and gave me a bit of a glow. @Sodie i only get Milani Rose blusher when I Google - I need a lip balm, can you kindly link it please ?

Sodie · 05/05/2022 14:16

I can't do links but it's on boots it's the milani rose transforming lip balm.

Can I join?
I've just bought olaplex from Amazon because my hair is so shit. Think I can feel benefit after one use. Trying to be super gentle with my hair from now on.

Bought aldi hot cloth cleanser wow it's lovely!

Dug out the Korean wash mitts not used them in months so that session was vile!!!

Planning to slap on lotion after every shower.

Iwanttenofthose · 06/05/2022 11:27

pastypirate tell me more about these Korean wash mitts. Are they better than a normal exfoliating mitt that I'd pick up at the supermarket?

Iwanttenofthose · 06/05/2022 11:28

I love a hot cloth cleanser too, the superdrug one is great as well!

Sodie · 07/05/2022 09:04

Fake tanned last night. My new eyecream is really good, also loving this works detox spray. What skincareproducts do you all swear by?

Iwanttenofthose · 07/05/2022 10:33

@Sodie I'm in love with London Botanical Laboratories avocado and CBD sleep mask. It's expensive but I have found it for a fraction of the price in TK Maxx before...

Windflower92 · 07/05/2022 10:39

I'm here for some inspiration! I'm back at work after baby no2 next week and want to feel more 'together' in general! Spent a bit of time this morning sorting out an exercise regime and have added a load of stuff to my Boots basket! Love the sound of this Milani Rose stuff, looking forward to trying a bit of that!

Sodie · 07/05/2022 10:57

@Iwanttenofthose love tkmaxx for skincare. It's where I got the this works detox spray and eye cream.

Iwanttenofthose · 07/05/2022 11:12

@Sodie I'll look out for those too! I'm due a tk maxx trip next week

Oh god yes!!! I'll post Amazon link later. They look like random cleaning cloths but remove a horrifying amount of dead skin like you can't imagine until you try. They are v v cheap too

Iwanttenofthose · 08/05/2022 06:37

pastypirate ok I'm sold!! I think my legs need these...

On that note I was determined to get rid bumps on back of my thighs - total success in a few uses

Korean wash cloths

6 Pieces Asian Exfoliating Bath Washcloth Exfoliating Cloth Towels Korean Bath Towel for Skin Massage, Removing Dry Dead Skin Cells, Cleaning Pores https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B08TWQ4D4B/ref=cmswwrcppapiiiZS2077JDKWVE8NQKZB04?encoding=UTF8&psc=1

Iwanttenofthose · 08/05/2022 20:36

@pastypirate They sound great. I've ordered some on prime and already mentally scheduled in the evening I'm going to spend sloughing the rough patches off my knees this week. No amount of exfoliating and moisturiser has helped so far, and I'd love to get rid of them so that I can put some gradual tan on without my knees turning orange.
