Highlights… pic

I have highlights every 3/4 months or so. Have been going to the same salon for 5 yrs; same stylist … always happy.

I went on Saturday, had highlights and cut/blow. Washed my hair at home on Monday and it’s just “off”. I’m not even sure what it is. It looks patchy and like my roots are coming through, already 🤷🏻‍♀️ I sent this picture to her and she was saying “I’m not sure I see what you mean; looks ok”. Do I need to go back?

Have found what it usually looks like, post hairdressers.

Is your hair wet in that pic? It looks like a strong difference in colour and the highlights look very thin and stringy, but would be easier to see if the hair was dried and styled as normal

I wear my hair up all the time for work. Ought I go back and ask for… something?

No. The photo was taken after I’d washed and “done” my hair. And usually, my hair “fattens up” after colouring. It’s just flat as a pancake on my head. I don’t understand 🤷🏻‍♀️

It’s hard to tell as the lighting in your second pic is so strong you can’t really see the highlights!!

Agree with this, do you have a dry hair photo?

Nope. Same shampoo. Same routine. Usually, I can get away with 2/3 days between washing when my colour’s first done. It looks flat and greasy the next day.

Off to bed now. Taken this. So, I can barely see any colour at all. Just my mouse brown. Definitely going back.

Yes I know what you mean. I get highlights and wouldn't be happy with this. It doesn't look patchy in an obvious way but I know exactly what you mean.

Your last pic is better than the first. In the first it looks like she hasn't gone to the roots in some of them and this will mean your regrowth will show much quicker. her work is erratic and on this basis I would ask her to redo some of them.

I had almost the exact same scenario happen to me right down to the “looks okay to me” but when I popped back in, she mentioned that she’d changed the brand of her bleach- never had a problem since.

i do agree if you’re usually blonde and it’s come out mouse brown you need looking at againn

It looks very different alright. One picture looks more like an all over colour. Both photos are nice!! Good luck.

I see what you mean about your hair looking flat and unwashed, and darker than you had it before.

I'd definitely go back with a good 'last time you did this and I was happy' photo and ask for more to be done.
