Nars orgasm- worth the hype?

I know it's been around for ages but is it any good?

Looking for pink blush not too sparkly/pearly/highlightery

Currently using benefit rockateur and want something with a bit more colour.

It's nothing special IMO.

Blossomtoes · 03/05/2022 20:31

It’s OK but there are lots of options that are just as good and much cheaper.

willthatbeall · 03/05/2022 20:33

I love it. It definitely adds some 'glow' rather than being too matt or too shimmery. Mine has lasted ages.

I also have rockateur and they are very different on my skin - the benefit one is more shimmery on me and the beige undertone doesn't suit me nearly as much as the pinkier Nars. I'm blonde and fair.

Sparkletastic · 03/05/2022 20:34

It's fine. Milani baked blush in 'Luminoso' is better and costs £11

rubyslippers · 03/05/2022 20:34

No it’s not
ive got the powered one at the mo - I used it years ago
It’s sparkly and I don’t think it sits that well - could be age!
when I replace it will use a cream blush probably by Rosie or byterry

peoplearepeople · 03/05/2022 20:39

I find it way too sparkly/glittery. Not a fan at all I'm afraid. I do love nars blushes in general though but tend to lean towards cream and gel formulations nowadays.

StrychnineInTheSandwiches · 03/05/2022 20:40

Too sparkly. much prefer their blusher in shade Deep Throat (the Nars names are naff as hell tho)

Gilesgoesformiles · 03/05/2022 20:45

Too shiny - always makes me look a bit greasy and the colour is just meh….

cherrypiepie · 03/05/2022 20:52

Thanks I think I'll pass as I originally didn't buy it (years ok) on the grounds of it being too pearly /sparkly apricotty.

I do like the rockatuer but it just disappears into my skin sort of seemlessly gives healthy glow flush but not much colour. I'd like a pinkier on the redder end of the spectrum.

I'll look at deep throat and yes agree the names are grim!

Agree with others it's very glittery and sparkly. It kind of reminds me of the cheap blusher young teenagers like. I have Sex Appeal (not me, the naff named blusher) but I won't repurchase.
I think a lot of Nars stuff is over-hyped tbf.

OrangeBlossom28 · 03/05/2022 21:24

I bought Deep Throat and totally fell in love with it. Perfect shade of pink blush.

LookdeepintotheParka · 04/05/2022 10:47

The Sleek dupe of orgasm is excellent (the equally stupidly named 'Feelin like a snack')

It definitely has a sparkle but I don't find it too pigmented/shiny.

AbsoluteShambles · 04/05/2022 11:07

Agree with PPs that it's too sparkly.

I've ended up sticking with The Balm Fratboy for a long while now. It looks a bit sparkly in the container but not at all on my face.

I used to use a Chantecaille one that was discontinued. No idea if they have any nice pink shades now but it was always lovely to apply so I'd happily go back for the right colour (I'm just too lazy to investigate).

Gilesgoesformiles · 05/05/2022 13:53

Glossier cream blushes are nice. Nars foundation is good but not their blusher colours. Or names

Matchingcollarandcuffs · 05/05/2022 14:02

It breaks me out, am allergic to the shimmer. With help from here think it's bismuth hypochlorite that's the culprit.

Shame as I like it but not devastated, it's not that great

StrychnineInTheSandwiches · 05/05/2022 14:05

I find liquid blushes like the Glossier cloud paints too smeary. I really like the Milk cream stick blushers though.

BlueKaftan · 05/05/2022 14:23

I thought this thread was about a brand of vibrator 😂

Yep the pontification of cosmetics puts me off so I wouldn't buy Nars "cult" blushers. They're pricey, sparkley and not worth the hype.

SunshineThelma · 05/05/2022 14:26

Like a PP, I prefer Deep Throat (ahem!) 😂

MissStarry · 05/05/2022 20:19

I use Orgasm but it’s very shimmery, just a sweep over cheekbones is enough. I also use Nars Gaiety which is a candy Matt pink and gives me the colour I want (as long as a light touch is used 😅)
