Going backless in daytime… do you?

I’ve had this delivered, I really like the style and I can adjust the straps to rule out side boob and gaping when leaning over but I can’t get my head around the fact that it’s backless and that I feel naked underneath. It’s not see through and my boobs are small so most of it is in my head. How would you feel about this?
I have a shirred back bralette coming in a contrast colours and wearing a bikini top under is also an option. Feel it needs something more delicate than your average vest. Any other ideas? Thank you!

The particular style depicted would not suit me personally. But, yes, I wear backless tops in the day time, certainly. Not to work though.

Oooh I love that. I go bra less a lot. If I don't want to I wear more of a cool crop top style bralette in a contrast colour so it looks like an intentional piece if I'm ever wearing a similar style jumpsuit to this one.

LadyCatStark · 03/05/2022 14:48

I’d wear that if it was a hot summer’s day no problem.

IvorCutler · 03/05/2022 15:10

a bandeau maybe?

StarlightLady · 03/05/2022 15:20

I tend to wear backless things sans bra. Backless things are hot weather clothes after all. I think the important thing is to try and avoid so called invisible bras which blatantly are not (clear straps glisten in the sun) or so called flesh collar which looks like cardboard. Either a contrasting colour or none at all.

TheChosenTwo · 03/05/2022 16:25

I’d wear that in the daytime, it’s very casual. I really like it but couldn’t get away without a bra as my poor boobs would be somewhere around the waist and I feel a bra would spoil the look of it on me somewhat.
I’m jealous!

TheChosenTwo · 03/05/2022 16:26

The elasticated leg cuffs are giving me Andy pandy vibes actually 😄
(I still like it!!)

Zazdar · 03/05/2022 16:55

Definitely Andy Pandy.

If it was warm enough, I would wear wear it as is. Nothing underneath.

Procrastatron · 03/05/2022 17:20

Oh thank you all for your reassuring comments!
This is the bralette I have coming to layer under it, but hopefully on super hot days I will be confident enough to go without. www.freepeople.com/uk/shop/fp-one-adella-bralette/?category=SEARCHRESULTS&color=075&searchparams=q%3Dadella%26sayt%3Dtrue&type=REGULAR&quantity=1
I will also pick up a simple white bandeau as @IvorCutler suggests.

@TheChosenTwo and @Zazdar i agree it gives off some baby grow vibes 😂

I'd wear that! I'm early 40s and a 36D; I still go sans bra in the hot weather. Not at work though.

The only thing you must wear with anything backless is confidence.

Zazdar · 03/05/2022 18:36

I’d wear it backless to work. It doesn’t show that much.
