White trainers

I have some white converse and find them quite comfy and they look fresh so have decided to get some leather trainers, as I am constantly worried it might rain with the canvas ones.

I have skinny ankles so chunky Air Force 1s etc. look wrong.

Its so hard to find ones that have good torsion and are not clumpy. I also like soft not brilliant white.

I ordered these but not sure they will have any torsion.

Talk to me about your simple, stylish, slightly edgy white trainers that you can wear all day.

i recently bought these- really comfy and I really like them with jeans and with dresses. I didn’t want trainers with things emblazoned all over them so these are perfect. Might be too white for you though?

happy hunting!

I bought these recently and I love them, they slightly more dressy because they’ve got the wedge and I get them in different colours now www.laredoute.co.uk/ppdp/prod-350178810.aspx#searchkeyword=victoria%20trainers&shoppingtool=externalcampaign

I like those La Redoute ones. I know Fit Flop would be super comfy too, not sure about the style.

Also looking at the (pricey) Kate Spade ones, but not sure if they are comfy / come up small.

I have some comfy ones from Aldo that aren't too bulky.

GreatCuppa · 03/05/2022 14:26

I have these from John Lewis, I know they’re not all white. At first they gave me loads of blisters but now they’re fine. I like the ones you’ve linked as well.

I just wear white Stan Smiths usually.

I love those @MistySkiesAreGone
How is the width of the toe box? Are they heavy?

MistySkiesAreGone · 09/05/2022 08:37

@Rollerbird I have very wide feet. The widest part of my feet is at the base of my little toes, so this is something I struggle with in shoes.

So I put them on a few times before deciding. Initially they felt okay, then they felt squashed. I worked out that I needed the thinnest trainer socks (something with silk or those tights pop socks) (especially as we know feet swell in heat). I also had to completely re-lace them, as they were laced up tight. I prefer the cross style laces so I did that but might revert to the other way when they have softened. Not sure if it is the position of the suede stars but they are right at the widest point of the foot, and this might also help the fit. I have tried on so many of these type of leather trainers and found them too restrictive.

I then tried them on a few more times and eventually took the step of wearing them out. The only wierd thing was they felt a little like they might slip off at first, but then it was fine and I forgot I was wearing them. They don't feel heavy, but the toe is slightly oval-rounded, rather than more oval, which gives it a (only slightly) clumpier look. The inner sole is also removable and I might change it as I have a slight overpronation and I feel (only slightly) flat footed in them. The beige laces have gold flecks! I also might get some white laces so I can swap them in and out.

The beige laces are slightly darker than the photo - see the first style inspo pic.

In short - I would buy them again or other And/Or trainers.
