I have been using It Cosmetics Bye Bye Pores, which is pricey but really good. The only negative (which will stop me buying it again) is that it is too pale and whitens me out however lightly I try to apply it. So I'm looking for something similar but either a more neutral translucent shade, or one that comes in different shades. TY :)

Mac Blot powder if you're after pressed powder. Go a shade darker with it.

Loose or pressed?

Badtasteflump · 02/05/2022 13:52

Ooh loose prob.... I usually manage to smash pressed.

I'm light olive-skinned and have used Banana Dreams banana powder for years. I also didn't like the white residue you could sometimes get with 'white' powders.

For loose, Fenty loose powder is lovely - I have two backupsBlush They sell a small travel size which you can test out. The large one is excellent value for money.

By Terry Hyaluronic loose powder (I think they do a pressed as well ) - I bought it several years ago on an offer in Space NK and it's fab - you use just a teeny amount and it lasts for ages and ages - pricey but I would buy again

I think my friend managed to get sone recently on John Lewis when they had a 15% discount weekend deal on make up.

I have also used Hourglass pressed Dim shade but it's ok not great. I used to use corn silk 20+ years ago but don't think it's around anymore ?

Do you use the loose bye bye pores or the pressed one op? I use the pressed and find it fantastic, it’s easier to control the coverage with pressed I think… a little definitely goes a long way. I spray my face with st tropez facial mist after applying my make up to even out my complexion too.

Ah yes the By Terry hyaluronic loose powder is excellent. Definitely get the tinted version. It's invisible on the skin and not as drying as other powders (but still keeps my oily skin matte).
