Where do you buy your long line shirts?

I like long line shirts open over vest tops and skinny jeans, but struggle to find shirts long enough. They need ideally to be 32 inches or longer. I’m size 16.

Any suggestions? Not spendy!

This is my lifetime’s work.
Also a 16, and my back is 4” longer than average for my height. (My physio and the frame builder who built my road bike have both told me this). I’m 5’8”, with the average back length of a 6’ woman.

Gap Tall range used to be pretty good, but they do very little in this range now. Land’s End a bit, but hit n miss and they charge for returns, so I’m reluctant to get much from them unless I love it (unlikely).

That’s all I’ve got (apart from a cold midriff).

I have returned/not bought so many shirts and tops for being too short. I’m sure manufacturers are cutting costs by making everything 2” shorter.

Imherenowandthen · 30/04/2022 12:42

That must be hard. I don’t think my back is particularly long, but I like the style. Lands End do some tunic length, have you tried them? I think you have to pay for returns too though.

Just about to say this. Unless you want a more fitted look, I think you would find some here that you like.

I am 5"7 and recently bought a couple of shirts at Zara in cotton and linen. Didn't measure the length though.

I have loads of Biden linen ones bought over the years. This year for the first time I've seen some good ones in M&S.

Boden

Imherenowandthen · 01/05/2022 18:03

Boden are probably a bit too spendy 😬 but I’ll look on eBay, thanks.

Was just going to post this! Would be knee length ish on me (5ft 7) saw white and a lovely spring green. I bought a shorter white one in the same fabric, linen like. £15.

Imherenowandthen · 03/05/2022 16:20

I’ve no primark near me unfortunately 😭 I’ve looked on eBay and can’t find any long shirts from Boden, they all seem normal length.

Joules used to do a linen shirt called 'Jeanne' which is 32 inches long. You can pick them up from time to time on eBay. Some of the patterns are a bit much, but I have them in plain navy and pale pink, so worth checking there.
