How do you handle your style and beauty mailing list sign ups and do they make you buy things you feel you shouldn't?

My email box is groaning with all of the fashion and beauty mailing lists I'm signed up to.

Generally I'm signed up because I bought one thing, or I want to know when there's a sale on. And because I don't really enjoy physical browsing and shopping in real life it's good to know if suddenly a shop/brand has an item I would absolutely love and wouldn't come across otherwise.

But. I have enough clothes. I have enough skincare. In terms of finances, I have some disposable income but really I don't need more stuff. Medium and longer term goals such as travelling and paying down the mortgage/moving to a house from a flat are really what I should be paying more attention to.

Just browsing through the emails and have seen a spring coat that now I really want. If I hadn't seen it I wouldn't have even known it existed!

I've done quite a bit of unsubscribing this morning, but getting rid of the lot feels hard. Like I'm going to miss out on something.

I've just tried to alter my settings on email, so this stuff goes directly into a folder under Beauty, so I can go in there every now and then, without it distracting me from normal email daily stuff. Not sure I've done all the search words ok, but can tweak it over time. Can you tell, I have the same ishoo? Grin

@SpongeBobJudgeyPants ahem, yes, I suspect I'm not the only one with this issue!
