Your desert island make-up bag

What are your ten must-have beauty items? Let's assume that even on a desert island you want to look the way you do on a "normal" day. and also that you have access to the basics if you don't bring them (i.e. shampoo and conditioner, body wash, moisturising cream, but only very basic version). And you have to stick within your normal budget range, so no endless supplies of Creme de la Mere, alas.

@DailySheetWasher I could sit in the sun all day long and still stay as pale as a ghost so I definitely will need tanning drops! 😂

I find the blue tin Nivea too thick to apply nicely but I agree that Nivea in general is a miracle product! I was thinking of trying the Victoria Beckham eyeliner so that's an interesting choice!

@Lndnmummy Can't believe I didn't list an SPF - the Effeclar Duo has 50+ SPF so I should be okay! That Gucci lip balm looks lush.

I figure if I'm stranded on a desert island I'll have plenty of spare time to pat the blue Nivea cream into my skin 😊

Desert island? It would be spf, lip/body/face moisturisers, nail clippers and file, intense hair conditioners, and as a pp said, a face cloth!

Love this idea for a thread! I've just got into taking skincare seriously in the last couple of years, before I was very blasé about it all. Now I'm a Sephora addict.

1- Ole Henriksen Lemonade Smoothing Facial Scrub.
2 - Supergoop facial sunscreen.
3 - Smashbox photo finish primer
4 - Liz Earle hot cloth cleanser
5- Cloth (for above)
6 - Smashbox Halo tinted moisturiser
7 - Benefit dandelion blusher
8 - Any decent black waterproof mascara, I have no loyalty when it comes to mascara.
9 - John Frieda frizz ease serum because boy am I going to need it with all that sun, sea and humidity on a desert island.
10 - Factor 50 sunscreen for my body - any brand as long as I don't burn.

Oh Gawd. This is tough. I would have to be marooned with a train case full of stuff. I need choices! I am the female equivalent of Father Jack (from Father Ted) but with make up, not booze!! Remember when he was going out of the plane with the drinks trolley???!!!

Well, definitely a decent eye brow pencil and a tinted sun block - I like Australia Gold. Also a lip balm. But I would need a number of lipsticks. How can I possibly choose. Cruel world!!
