Help me spend £100 on a dress at John Lewis!

I've got a £100 voucher for John Lewis and I'd love a dress.

Useful info:
43, 5'8", post baby realistically a 12/14, good legs and boobs, zero waist, bit of a tum. Not keen on sleeveless. Shoulder length brown hair, fair skin, grey eyes.

I live rurally and WFH, I have a 3 year old. I'd love something that gave me some shape and confidence and that I could wear through the summer whether it is mooching around at home or heading into town for meetings.

I like fit and flare and something that gives me a shape. I suit V neck or scoop rather than round/high. Anything too clingy clings to the wrong bits so I prefer a fuller skirt to balance me out. Midi is a good length. I'd probably wear with flats in town and trainers at home.

I like this: Kemi Telford but its not in my size

Help oh wise and stylish ladies!

I think John Lewis actually have a stylist tool, where you can select your body type, sizes, hair, eye colour, skin colour, colours and patterns etc you like and parts you want to highlight. I've never used it but it does look really in depth. That aside, here are a few that I liked based on what you mentioned!

Some lovely dresses there - thank you - but nothing quite right. I rather like a full skirt, makes me feel vaguely feminine in a world where these days I'm usually in jeans and a puffa. I quite like the Kirsty Allsop look (divisive I know) which is why I think I like the Kemi Telford dress, but can't find anything else of that ilk, especially things that can go in the washing machine and, ideally, have pockets!

If I were you I’d definitely book in with their personal stylist team. I recently managed to get a next day appt due to a cancellation. If you’re not nearby, they also do virtual appointments.

no obligation to buy and I’ve been really happy with my experience.
