Discoloured forehead due to skin wearing away

For about six years, the skin on my forehead has had two noticeably darker patches of skin on it. As far as I can tell, the skin on these patches is thinner, as occasionally the darker patches wear away again when I wash my face and bleed. I don't know what caused it, maybe I was washing my face too rigorously. I try to moisturise that area and not wash it too rigorously with harsh scrubs or not wash it at all if it's not greasy/spotty. But the skin never seems to repair. Any ideas of how I can fix this? Is there a product that can encourage skin healing /growth or uniform my skin colour on my forehead?

I have darker patches on my forehead but its called by malsma. I used a factor 50 physical SPF and azalic acid which seems to help.

Are you bleeding from washing/scrubbing too hard?

Yes, in my case pretty sure it's not malasma. Yeah it usually bleeds after washing but I've tried to wash really gentle or not wash that area at all for periods, but it never heals/goes back to an even colour

Might be worth seeing a dermatologist.

See your GP and ask for a referral to dermatology. These can be hard to get but a darker path that is bleeding will probably get you one.
