Clothes for transatlantic cruise - help!

Hi there - I am going on a transatlantic cruise with my 87 year old mum in early May. I’m really struggling with evening wear - I have work dresses but nothing evening-y. I am bigger than I want to be at the moment, prob size 16 as my tummy seems to have expanded horribly in the last year or two and about 5’10”. I bought a black chiffon pleated skirt so am hoping to find some evening tops to go with it. But also maybe some wise legged trousers? Maxi dress maybe? I saw the other thread with maxi dresses and done great ideas there. Any other suggestions would be gratefully received! Thanks.

That link doesn’t seem happy. Type “pleated shirt dress” into the search bar & it will come up with a range of colour options.

try also M&Co. They had a lovely jumpsuit in the other day - it had palazzo style trousers with a pleated effect. I’m a short arse so couldn’t pull it off but at 5” 10 you could.

I’ve been on a few cruises and dressing up can be anything from trousers with a blouse/top to full blown long evening gown. I have a few dresses, they are not formal, just normal, I do put a bit more jewellery on, make up and nice shoes, but some nights I have worn black trousers with a blouse.

Check the dress code for the cruise company first. The code varies so much from. Cunard's posh to NCL more or less wear what you want.
